About Us

At Busco Bullet, our passion is John Deere snowmobiles. We are a family run business with a desire to bring quality repair and restoration parts to you. With the last John Deere sled coming off the line in Horicon, WI in late 1983, factory support is nearly non-existent. That’s where we come in. With years of riding and wrenching on these sleds, we have the expertise to source, and many times, recreate parts that are no longer available. Whether it be a trailer queen, or the well-worn old snowmobile from your childhood, we have the parts to get you to the show or keep you on the snow.

Don Amber started Busco Bullet in Churubusco, Indiana to fill a need he saw in the John Deere snowmobile community, as parts were becoming scarce. With a history in snowmobile racing, Don used his knowledge and enthusiasm for vintage snowmobiles to build a business tailored to providing parts and knowledge to vintage snowmobilers. The brand “Busco Bullet” even comes from the name of his race snowmobiles, including a 1975 340/S.

In September of 2023, I purchased Busco Bullet from Don and moved it to its current location in Whitewater, Wisconsin. I am continuing Don’s personalized service with the added convenience of online purchasing. I have been riding and working on vintage Deeres since my first 1982 Spitfire when I was 5 years old. With a background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, I can bring to market parts that have not been available for many years. Along with years of friendship in the hobby, I have a good network of people with inventories of used and NOS parts. If you ever have any questions about our products and their application, or don’t find what you are looking for on our site, please feel free to contact us with your needs.

Thank you for your support.
